Management Training - Management Development

THIS COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAMME was originally developed from the results of research to establish what Managers in Garden Centres need to be able to do. It is designed to provide a broad grounding in the skills needed to supervise a team, and manage a department or a centre.

AIMS TO

  • Develop the skill and confidence to build and lead a successful team
  • Equip people to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Enable the systematic planning and organising of routine work projects, and their own time
  • Establish good practice in recruiting and training suitable people
  • Highlight legal responsibilities, and create guidelines to reduce liability
  • Focus on proactive steps to enhance financial performance in their area

ACHIEVED BY

  • A 2 day residential programme followed by nine 1 day units spread over one year
