Business Skills - Effective Appraisals

Some appraisal systems produce focus and motivation while others are a chore required by management. The difference lies not so much in the design of the system as in the attitudes and interviewing skills of the participants. Invest a day of your time to your managers and supervisors to help them to prepare and conduct appraisal interviews which have a real effect on business and personal success.

AIMS TO:

Participants will be better able to arrange and conduct appraisal interviews with subordinates which will achieve:-

  • An open discussion with frank exchanges between themselves and subordinates
  • Agreement on the successes and difficulties experienced by subordinates during the period under review
  • Agreement on the most challenging targets for the forthcoming period and strategies for meeting these
  • An analysis of the training needs of each individual by identifying the skills needed to overcome current difficulties and to meet future challenges
