Freelance Consultant and Trainer



		Dave Russell Dave is a freelance consultant and trainer who has been a Cedar Associate since 2006. His career in business has spanned Engineering, Project Management, Contract Management, Sales and Marketing, General Management and Consultancy. After qualifying as a graduate, and later, Chartered Mechanical Engineer he worked in the electric cable and railway industries including a period working at Director level. From the mid-90s he worked at parent company level in SAB WABCO, a specialist international rail vehicle equipment manufacturer, and carried out assignments in Project Management, Management Development and global Business Processes. In 2002 the company was sold to a Venture Capital consortium. Dave became Sales and Projects Director for the European sector of the business, as well as continuing internal consultancy. Following a successful trade sale of the company in 2004, he decided in 2005 to develop his own independent practice, using the management, communication, mentoring, facilitation and team working skills developed over the previous decade. Dave has worked with clients in Industry, Financial Services and the Public Sector on assignments ranging from sales and financial training to the development of business-wide leadership principles with International Executives. He is particularly interested in Leadership and Organisational Development with the rich mixture of operational and human insights which they demand. < back
